EDMODO vs. QUIPPER SCHOOL

Education nowadays leveled up in terms of technology. Learning and teaching not only happens inside the classroom but almost everywhere. And it has been possible through the use of internet and two of them are Edmodo and Quipper School.

These two are examples of many applications created to aid the Learning and Teaching in any time and place of the day. They are both free and available by anyone. That's why most teachers preferred to use any or both of them to help them in their instruction and enhanced interaction with their students and parents. Between these two, which is more convenient and qualified to use?

Let's examine :)

Below are the screenshots of the welcoming page of each.
As you can notice, Quipper school's main page design is much colorful than that of Edmodo's. It also used avatars to present in their visitors rather than that of Edmodo's, it shows a picture of a happy student.

These next pictures will show the features below the Welcome Page of each App:

These are from Edmodo:
the Edmodo explained a little about the though the advertisement says it all: install the app and you'll always be in. learning is everywhere.

There's no other page below the welcome page of Quipper School , instead, choose either Teacher's or Student's portal you will be entering. I selected the Teacher's Portal and here it looks like:
Quipper explained what their program is all about as you further enter the Quipper school with the use of videos, pictures and blogs.

Next is the signing up process:
In Edmodo, signing up as a teacher is only less than 2 minutes to take with two steps to go:
while Quipper School is strict in their signing up process:
It took 10 steps! Inclusive of the class creation and the group code to be given. I just noticed that quipper school is into K-12 CUrriculum, meaning they are only for Elementary and High School Students. that's why when I entered my school TUPC, it can't be found by Quipper School.

And for the home pages of each App, you can see that Edmodo looks like the appearance of Facebook where in there is a timeline and the options of the teacher to post: Note, Assignment, Quiz or a Poll.
But first, the Teacher in Edmodo needs to create a group for her students and a code will be given to their students for them to enter the class group. this is a screenshot of the grouplist in the Edmodo Mobile App and the groups I created and their corresponding group code:
Edmodo is an easy app to start and create your online classroom interaction. Convenient and is very professional in design. ideal for any level of education and any curriculum, what's important is that there's an interaction of the students commanded by the head of the classroom, the Teacher.

let's see the timeline of the Quipper School:
Quipper School is more of Home and Self-Study of the by the use of lessons and activities provided by the App itself and is ideal only for School that has the k-12 Curriculum probably not a University-type.

After these observations, I therefore conclude that Quipper School offers more convenience by its program for the Teacher because it follows a Curriculum so the Learning will be systematic. On the other hand, Edmodo is easier to manage and use because it is suited for any time of the teacher's or student's availability and convenience.
